I'm finding this SNL to be pretty meh, but that no-talent asterisk-clown Michael Bolton was funny.

(Oh, and Stefon of course.)

And the birth video skit was good.

Any chance in hell Naseen Pedrad is back next year? I didn't even realize she was still on the show until that skit near the end. Jay Pharoah too, and I would hope Abby Elliot is off but her dad being Chris Elliot probably comes her on long after her welcome wears out.

No comments on South Park? I thought it was pretty good. Mackey was hilarious as was every bit of the royal wedding.

Yeah, not amazing but still decent. The whole journey in Canada wasn't that interesting, but the play stuff and the royal wedding stuff, especially the last minute, was pretty good.

If they're going to show Annie running in slow motion in a low top, they can do paintball every episode as far as I'm concerned.

That part was completely acceptable, but I thought the episode was really disappointing, given that it was a freakin' great premise.

Community is a weird show. It's almost never mediocre -- it either hits dead on (the My Dinner episode, most Abed and Jeff stories) or misses wide (unfortunately, almost any episode having to do with Annie or Shirley). Pierce is the show in miniature: usually excellent but terrible enough times to make you cautious.

Community: I loved the sudden transition from Western to Star Wars, but then it tried to be a corny war movie (and mostly succeeded), but it was nowhere near as good as last week's episode. And it had less of Annie being hot.

In other news... awesome? If it's anywhere near as good as his recurring role on Breaking Bad, this will be great.

I'd hardly call two episodes a "recurring character" in the true sense of the phrase. Trejo rules, but I consider his appearance on BB more of a cameo.

Honestly, beyond looking at Annie I thought both episodes were rather yawn worthy. The original paintball episode was the best...this was them trying too hard like most of this season.

Don't know if anyone is a comic book fan, but Neil Gaiman of Sandman fame wrote this week's Doctor Who episode. Definately work a look.

The Office was gold last night. Dwight Schrute as acting manager? Fantastic.

*Jazz Hands!*

This.

I really hope they figure it out in season 3.

How I Met Your Mother was pretty darn good tonight. I really liked the way they ended the season.

Moving along, has anyone watched SNL from this past weekend yet? Is it worth a watch?

NBC has renewed Chuck for a final season of at least 13 episodes to air on Fridays, the graveyard of TV. The Event has been canceled after the last episode airs next Monday. I like Chuck and am disappointed to see it go but at least it will go before it gets bad. I like The Event too; hopefully, it will find a home somewhere else. I doubt it, but the EP doesn't: "NBC has been an amazing partner, it launched the show beautifully," he said. Added creator Nick Wauters: "We have a dedicated fan base, and we promised them we will deliver one way or another and will continue to tell our stories." Possibilities include Netflix, whose trying to get into the original programming biz or cable.

I have to admit...one of the comments on that article is hilarious: "Cancellation is the Event!".

The first part of the episode was eh...the last half was fantastic...including the very end. I did NOT see that coming
