Conservative commentators are poutraging over this new Star Trek going woke. I’m curious what they thought the entirety of TOS was, or much of all other Star Trek series.

Almost all of speculative fiction is "Left" because it stresses curiosity and difference.

The ur-Left text is science fiction. The ur-Right text is dogmatic scripture.
 
Star Trek takes place in a world that is a Socialist Paradise...either they never watched the show or they thought the Ferengi were the true heroes.

Highly recommend S1 of Tehran through 5 episodes so far. Not your ordinary series and so far through E5 no cheap plot twists nor gimmicks.

better call Saul…really trying to figure out where it’s going with half a season left.

the flight attendant- watching now hoping the main character is brutally offed. I don’t know if it’s the character or Kaley Cuoco as I haven’t watched the other dreck she’s been in, but her character is so beyond dumb and annoying
 
I've started Breaking Bad on the strength of watching all the scenes between Walter and Saul. So far I like S1 because Walter is so fucked up. There's none of that "I am the one who knocks" garbage yet. Not sure when I'll need to bail, or I might just stay for Gus and Mike.
 
It's arguably one the three greatest shows of all time. I haven't finished it yet, but everyone I trust says it kept getting f better and better
 
The Offer – a drama series about the development and making of The Godfather along with a few other subplots including the mafia trying to stop the film from being made. E1 was very intriguing.

Shoresy – starring Jared Keeso from Letterkenny about a hockey player that moves to Sudbury, Canada to play senior hockey. Listed as a comedy series – haven’t watched E1 yet.
