Found out FX cancelled Legit. Boo, I like Jim Jefferies.

Ink Master:

Scott's tatt was amazing, but still feel Sausage's was better. Add to that the glaring mistakes that Scott had in the last two weeks...I thought Sausage should have won. BUT, tough call that is tough to argue on the whole season's work.

As soon as I saw the deep, rich color in Scott's tatt, it was pretty evident that the judges would go there. They love deep color saturation. After that, though, Sausage's piece had better overall work, though it wasn't a blow out by any means.

No, not whatsoever. I'd wear either of those pieces.

The Americans:

Holy. Sh*. Holysh* holysh* holysh*.

Awesome finale.

Louis has been so good so far this season. The girl that plays Jane is wonderful. The scene with her in the park was very well done and the violin duet in the hallway very moving, then he smartly interspersed moments of lowbrow with his friend in the cafe and laughing at the iPad with his fat buddy. Great stuff.

Watched my DVR'd Fargo last night. Holy ****, what an episode!!! The only complaint I have is the special effects that they used to do the snow. I thought that looked bush league. The fish have me really confused...not sure how the hell that happened.

I was impressed with Lester, for the first time. He actually didn't screw something up. It was cold-hearted and horrible, what he did, but he did it right. :p

I wonder if Arkady didn't louse things up...

He told Stan not to say "I love you" so much because a Russian woman doesn't like it...how does he know how often Stan says it? Stan may not have figured it out completely, but it may have given him enough doubt not to go through with it.

Wasn't it convenient that the kid stayed alive just long enough to confess to everything?

Louie and Fargo are burning a hole in my DVR, and I probably won't be able to catch up for a few days, but I've heard that this week's episodes were pretty good.

He did. I'm still trying to figure out if he was trying to do anything beyond just taunting Stan. It certainly puts Stan on the path to realizing that Nina professing her love was perhaps a cover and that he's being played, but that doesn't do much to explain why Arkady would say it.

Especially since Claudia was going to explain everything at the end anyway. The least elegant part of an otherwise excellent finale.

I am very curious about telling Paige. On the one hand, she is very driven wants to make a difference and is just craving a cause she can get behind. She has found one with the church/peace movement so how open would she be to being a Soviet spy? She also hates her parents - though this would explain their crazy behavior - so not sure she'd want to follow in their footsteps.

For next season, they have plenty of avenues open for exploration - What does Arkady do now? Stan? I'm hoping Mother Russia gives Nina to that scientist dude they grabbed a few episodes ago, just so we get another scene with her with no clothes on :p

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Also, I love the tie in between the movie Fargo and the TV show Fargo a few episodes ago. :D

Well, I came away from that with the same general conclusion that I did at the end of season 1...

Paige is going to find out sooner or later...probably sooner after the 2nd generation illegals plan reveal...

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

A few months back I bought the full series of Chuck on dvd. I can't believe how many referential jokes are in the show. So far I've only watched through about 60% of season 2, and it just keeps surprising me. I'd forgotten about the GLG20 device jokes, and the upgraded GLG1000. The grenade they have to stop is model IG-88. The show has only started cracking into all the James Bond references. Tricia Helfer just made an appearance a couple eps ago, and now it's Scott Bakula's turn. Oh boy. :)

It is too bad that show was NBC and came out when it did. If it starts 2 years later it probably gets a longer run and is way more popular.

The Normal Heart. HBO continues to create great original programming. Bomer is great, but the guy playing Mickey deserves an Emmy nod.
