TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

That's kind of an interesting idea to switch up the killer for the American version. I never watched, but I'm assuming that's what happened with The Killing, since everyone hated the American version? I suppose you'd almost have to because it was difficult enough to avoid spoilers when the BBCAmerica version aired over here, let alone on a network like Fox.

Either way, I think you're right that anyone that saw the original is going to hate the new version.

The BBC version might be my favorite season of any drama ever, no hyperbole. I highly recommend it.

“I hate metaphors. That’s why my favorite book is Moby Dick. No frou-frou symbolism. Just a good, simple tale about a man who hates an animal.”

"People really do want to see the old hits, but we don't want to do them exactly in a predictable way, so it's going to be a mix-up, I think," Cleese said.
So you're saying we... should expect the Spanish Inquisition?

Walking Dead was badass tonight.

Lol at the people who thought there was any chance that the Gov was a good guy...

And if you saw the bonus clip of next week's show it's even better. The governator standing in front of the group at his new camp telling them the people at the prison burned his camp (lie) and killed his daughter (mostly lie) and stabbed him in the eye (technically true) and then he says, "They're going to miss their people" implying that he shot Michionne and Hershel. However, given how much he has already lied, I can see him saying he was attacked, killed two people from the prison and they have to attack now before Rick's group gets the upper hand. Doesn't mean he actually killed them.

There was also a clip of him outside the prison walls in his new toy. There are going to be deaths this week and at least one will be a major character. I'm guessing Hershel with an outside chance of it being Daryl.

Did anyone watch "Day of the Doctor?" I missed it as I was working all day Saturday. Thanks.

(Plus any help finding a stream would be great.)

I wondered if he had kidnapped them. I don't see the writers allowing their deaths too easily.

I agree that Herschel may be a dead man walking at this point though.

I also think there's an outside chance that the governor dies but in the process of attacking the prison, the walls are destroyed, the 7k swarm shows up and everyone has to hightail it outta there.

Gotta think that they aren't gonna keep the group at the prison forever. As a viewer, I'm certainly ready for a change of scene.

And where's Carol? Is she leading the third group that massacred the camp.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward it is more of an elaborate lie cooked up by the governor to make his new camp more willing to fight.

His toy can go through those fences easily enough (we'll just imagine it has a bottomless gas tank) but the rest of the fighters look awfully exposed to the arsenal Rick has lined up against them. It's the "mid-season finale" so I expect a cliffhanger ending - maybe Carol comes back to save the day? However, they have already done a "zombies overrun the camp so we have to leave" ending so hopefully they are more creative than that.

Agreed and they've already done the Governor attacks the prison, so hopefully there's a different twist.

I just wonder how long we can have the Governor story line. Gotta think they'll want to wrap that up - certainly by the end of this season?

They've always said that the story is Rick's.

Next week Maggie is a guest on Talking Dead, but I can't imagine they'd kill her off. Lots of story lines with her and Glenn still left. Chris did tease that they will have a "special guest" from the show, which I assume is (one of) the dead character.

I'm guessing the governor does something to make the prison uninhabitable (knocking some walls down, poisoning the water supply) so the group will have to move. The gov's days are numbered. Probably not this week, but soon after the show resumes.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Red John was revealed. And, yes, it was lame.

The show is done. I was shocked to learn they were going to reveal it so quickly. Then to find out he's revealed and the story is wrapped up in the same episode made it pretty lame. There are still a few lingering questions that would be interesting to know, but are not by any means critical at this point to keep the audience hooked. How he snuck the bird in after being frisked is the only one that bothers me. Or maybe that Jane knew who Red John really was the entire time.

How do they possibly finish up the season without all the regular viewers turning on them?

Depends. It's a whole new show starting next week. They go 2 years into the future. Simon Baker/Patrick Jane is the show. So, it depends on whether or not he's enough now without Red John to tune in. We'll see.
