Re: tUMD @ UND: Novermber 5-6, 2010
I agree, it looked like a good hit. That's BS. I'm not a Sioux fan and I hate this. The hit was possibly a charge, but not worthy of a suspension. It was the kind of hit that we all cheer in the stands, the kind of hit that revs up a team and changes the momentum, and the kind of hit that is taught at all levels of the game. Martin had his head down, something that will lead to injury more often than not. Even Martin called Malone to tell him that he didn't think the hit was dirty (one of the classiest moves I've ever heard of in sports). I wish those in positions of power would get off their high horse and stop acting like they don't earn their salary by promoting a physical sport where injuries, even serious ones, are inevitable.
Looking forward to this weekend's series; the Bulldogs will be able to test their skill against a team with much more skill and depth than they've seen to date and the Sioux will get a chance to prove they aren't slumping after a good start. I still think a split on the road at REA would be a good goal for the Bulldogs.
