I'm not sure if you understand what the Gauntlet is. Because it is essentially a forum for me to make fun of other people. Something I am doing here and you're not liking.

Gauntlet release (theoretical):

Even though the interviewee may or may not answer the questions in a serious manner, RWD reserves the right to make fun of, make light of, or ridicule any answer that is volunteered by the interviewee, with no repercussions, penalties, libel, or defamation. The interviewee releases "The Gauntlet" and RWD of any responsibility of any material released, referred to, or hinted at, and shall assume all shame that may or may not be produced because of said interview.

Duluth seems to have struggled a bit over the past two weeks, but really bounced back with a blowout win against Mankato Saturday. Do you guys see some problems right now, or is it something that looks like the team has shrugged off already and recovered from?

CC has been inconsistent this year. Some nights, they play incredible hockey (wins against UND, UNO, strong performance in a one goal loss to Michigan, two wins against Denver, win and tie against RPI). However, for each good win, there seems to be a game in which they laid an egg and seemingly didn't show up. Basically, if things go according to normal trend for this season, CC will come out flying and attacking one night and will have a win in which they look great. And the other night, they will get blown out and allow tUMD to skate all over em.

I would hope UMD has recovered from the last two weekends. I hope Saturday against Mankato was an indicator of that. We haven't played well, lost our cool or just were plain sloppy and took too many penalties. At this point I am hopeful we have learned from that, but anything can happen.


I want UMD to come back with a split. Anything more and I will be VERY happy.

When Scotty said, "The bus had wi-fi" he meant for 30 seconds at a time, every time they passed a Starbucks or McDonalds.

Haha, I assume Denver's busses have 6G. They only use the buses to get to players' private jets.

I second this as well. CC laid an egg up at BSU, but they will right the ship this week. They've been giant killers all season, so I wouldn't be surprised if we manage more than one win this weekend. It is senior day on Saturday, hopefully the seniors will play some inspired hockey. Lowry needs to start getting more shots on goal and we need a healthy Shultz and Johnson to show up.

What's up with DU? Tech shouldn't be that hard to beat. I'm thinking their win against us that Saturday night was a fluke.

Ball-less chicken? LOL. I'd certainly where my DU gear, but when I do I end up owning the Cleveland Steamer World Arena and with the season you guys are having, I thought I'd just be nice and hang out with my Bulldog Brothers. I have a bond with these peeps after a certain Sumo match in Duluth a few years ago. Although the wrestling didn't work out so well for me, the bonding was forged. Bulldogs Sweep!

My buddy months ago asked if I could go on a roadie to the Springs. Sadly I am student teaching right now and do not have the time or money to make the trip. Another year for sure.
