There's epic fail number 5. Care to go for 6?

Unfortunately I think you are either unable or unwilling to see your and other democrats in hypocrisy on this issue, which is sad. But if it makes it easier for you to get through the day who am I to judge.

When Hillary gave it to her maid it was no big deal though.

Think with all the nominees people need to be fair as far as the good and bad. It's sad to see people only focus on one side of it.

Hillary wasnt charged. If she had been I would have said the same thing. One of the 2 has admitted to the crime, the other the FBI wouldnt recommend charges for. You can pretend they are the same but they arent.

Re: Trump First Term I: I for One Welcome Our New Trumpy Overlord

If Hillary pleaded guilty or was found guilty of the same thing, it would be a big deal.

But that hasn't happened- nor has it even come close to happening. The two issues are not equal at all.

If allegations = guilt, then Trump should be not allowed to even take the oath.

This.

He said it was 'extremely careless,' which I would argue was exactly what Petreaus did.

Petraeus actually handed classified information to someone because he was banging her. That is not the same thing as Hillary keep trying.

Better question...how did Hillary's political connections protect her from the GOP lead Congress? How did it stop Comey from recommending charges? I will hang up and listen...

Re: Trump First Term I: I for One Welcome Our New Trumpy Overlord

You are trying to punch through a very thick layer of confirmation bias, fellas, and it ain't gonna happen.

Just more proof of how lazy Congress is. That should have been fixed years ago.

Why? Much more pressing issues have to be debated by Congress. Like repealing Obamacare. Investigating Benghazi. Investigating steroid use in MLB. Attempting to repeal Obamacare again. Re-investigate Benghazi. Listen to testimony over deflated footballs. Again attempt to repeal Obamacare. Re-re-investigate Benghazi. Hillary's e-mail server. Obamacare x4. Uphold MLB's antitrust exemption. Benghazi x4. E-mails. Obamacare x5. Benghazi x5. EMAILS! OBAMACARE! BENGHAZI! EMAILS! EMAILS! EMAILS!

As you can see, Congress has their plate full for the upcoming futute. Can't be letting some silly laws that should have been sunset decades ago waste their precious time.

Not sure which side you're directing that at. Regardless, you are correct

Morality, cause, and intent aren't part of the law. You either mishandle classified information or you don't. And I believe his mistress was either in the military or worked for the military. He didn't just hand it over to some random person. Honestly this is all beside the point though.

You and others would do well to talk to people who actually work for the government or military. Any regular person who does what Hillary did is absolutely getting charged, it isn't even a question. I think us as civilians look at it as some trivial thing but the government treats it very serious.

As far as why she wasn't indicted, you would have to ask Loretta Lynch that. At the end of the day hers was the only vote that counted. I could be wrong but I believe congress could have only indicted her for perjury. No doubt Lynch and Comey were put in an impossible situation where half the country was going to hate them regardless of the outcome.

My personal feelings are that both were extremely careless. Was one worse than the other? Thats hard to say. At this point do we even know the content of all of Hillary's emails? In the future I think there should be more consistency around the law though and I think Hillary not getting prosecuted is going to hurt other cases.

A civil service employee would have been dismissed and charged. Would probably be facing jail time.

Wrong.

18 U.S. Code § 793 - Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information
(a) Whoever, for the purpose of obtaining information respecting the national defense with intent or reason to believe that the information is to be used to the injury of the United States, or to the advantage of any foreign nation...

This is awesome.

Agreed, but with a few caveats.

Korematsu's conviction (but not the constituionality of the Executive Order) was overturned, basically on procedural grounds. This was at the district court level and was not appealed, so there's little precedence value.

Also, the Korematsu decision is difficult, some would say impossible, to logically square with the SCOTUS decision in ex parte Endo.

Terrifies me that this is open for discussion at all.
I'm sure it won't stand.

But don and his cronies are not lying when that state that as the example they are working with.

Most are appalled when anyone brings up interment camps, not realizing that they are still technically legal.
