It's pretty entertaining to see how Trumpbunnies cite the Justice Department "disclosures" as evidence a crime was committed. To try a case and lose means you either are incompetent, caught a bad jury, or had a bad case. To conclude that the case is too weak to even charge means you either are afraid to try the case, are incompetent in evaluating cases, or haven't got a case. So our glorious FBI director concludes he does not have a case, despite significant political pressure to charge. If he takes this position because he is afraid or incompetent, then his personal opinion on the matter is worth shat and should be ignored. If he is neither afraid nor incompetent, then he must be right: There was no case.

But if it is political spin you want, something for the angry and willfully ignorant voters to grab onto, then you have something. A conviction without trial.

Hey, the good news is one of the guys who investigated her in the Congress is going to run the CIA now. Under Trump intelligence failure will have new meaning.

Come on, cut him some slack, it's not like there's a chance he'll pay the settlement with money from the Trump Foundation.

Lucky? So, $25 million for 6000 members of the class. Probably a pretty solid $6-8 million in litigation costs and attorneys fees. Lead plaintiffs will get a slightly larger piece of the pie because they prosecuted the claim. What does that leave, $2500 apiece for the rest of them?

TPP is a rather controversial issue. But CNN's got a pretty good take. The net message is that if we walk away from the deal as Trump plans...China is happy to step in. We relinquish control after working with these countries for 30 years, we'll be making a serious about face coming from every administration and may well wreck some pretty fragile relationships. The US will be passing on the Asian century.
