So I had a thought this morning about ski chairlifts. It is a dam good thing for skiers that they were invented a long time ago. Can you imagine trying to build the first one today?
I envision this guy who works for the gondola manufacturer. He says "I have this great new way to get more skiers up the hill faster. You don't have to take your skis off and put them back on, you just sit on this moving chair and it carries you, then you ski off."
"How do you get on it?"
"You stand in this spot, look behind you for the chair, when it hits you in the back of the leg you just sit down."
"How fast is it going?"
"About like a slow jog."
"What happens then?"
"It scoops you up and carries you up the mountain."
"How high are you?"
"Depends on the terrain, but say 50-60 feet up."
"And you have a seat belt?"
"No you just sit in the chair."
"And you just ski off and the chair doesn't hit you in the head on the way by?"
"No, you just have to be ready and ski off this little mound where you land."
"Ok, why don't run that idea past legal the get back to me."
