Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

Minneapolis North is a ****hole. CRapids is definitely nicer than that dump. I read an article about North and all of the gang wars that are going on there...I won't be driving through that area anytime soon.

I used to have a coworker that lived there, and I would have to pick him up and drop him off every once and a while. There were quite a few stop signs and red lights run on some days.

Yep. I have a swamp right behind my house. It is nice to have some variety around the house, not just grass, but it is mosquito heaven.

I randomly found this picture on the internets. My question is what is that dog doing to Diva? Is Goldy giving her the shaft?

That girl totally looks like you, deevs.

I'll also take 50 gallons of the insect stuff. *in' moths.

And North isn't as bad as it USED to be, but it's not good at all. I too have run a few red lights at times. I remember a buddy used to live there, and when I visited him, he gave the heads up to local gang members that I was good people (although he wasn't in a gang; he just knew all the sets) and I was to be left alone. Still know some of the gang signs the locals used to use (and might still use).

Had an awesome drums-bass-keys jam tonight with two of the most amazing musicians I've ever played with. Music is awesome.

Music is awesome.

Indeed.

Mentioned it on another board, but a simple pleasure is cruising with The Fifth's top down, and playing James Brown's "Payback" blasted on the stereo. Such a great song, even though that might not be in your particular library of music.

Yeah not a huge fan, but whatever blows your hair back is cool. Tonight we jammed on everything from rock to blues to gospel to funk to hippy stuff; none of which I'd really listen to much on my own but it sure is fun to play.

Not that I'm into gospel, but God's Property's "Stomp" is pretty good (the whole CD is pretty good, too):

Edit: that's some churchin', for sure.
