TRP: Summer, come now!

Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

Ah yes. I guess I don't care much about that.

Borderline teams (like San Jose; I mean, the California Seals did exist for 9 years, so it wasn't a TOTALLY new market) are ok, I suppose. But teams like Phoenix, Dallas (they have bonus reasons), TB, and yes Nashville....* 'em.

Meh. Hockey is for everyone that wants to play/watch it. Obviously, in Phoenix and Atlanta, it isn't working out. The Panthers are probably on that list too.

And Carolina.

Anyway, Denny Hecker is a complete d-bag. Just saw KSTP's interview, and his statements are veiled as such where I think he really doesn't think he did anything really wrong. I thought he was a d-bag before, this just adds to the evidence.

Edit: MNS: I want PHO or ATL to "change" to Winnipeg. And CAR to "change" to Hartford. :p

And give Seattle back the Metropolitans!

Juat be glad that you didn't get stuck with the disaster called Vista.

I've never been the first to adopt new tech. I let other negative test them for me first. So far Windows 7 hasn't had the pure, unveiled hatred that met Vista.

Also, I've had some various applications not work to their full potential because they're designed for 7, not XP. The instances were small, but annoying. So I figured it was time to upgrade.

I had a juicy lucy at a place here in the city last night. It was perhaps not as good as in Minnesota, but the deliciousness baseline for a burger with melted cheese in the middle is pretty high. :)

Sweet. The awesomeness of the Jucy Lucy is hitting the big-time.

It really is. We made turkey juicy lucys on the grill and even those were very good. We find good smoked gouda or smoked cheddar really does it.

Nicely done. I tried making my own after my first excursion to the Cities back in 2004 but couldn't get the cheese to stay inside during the cooking process.

It takes some doing. They have to be really thick and even then you get a little leakage, but that's OK too.

Where at? If I'm ever down in the city again soon, maybe I'll make a trip out of it to experience this.

Whitmans on East 9th just off 1st Avenue. My date had the bacon, egg & cheese burger (what a woman!) which was also very tasty. The fried pickles were a great side, but the crack kale was not as good some of the reviews made it sound (the main components seemed to be fry grease and salt) and if we were to go back I might try the sweet potato fries instead. If you're considering trying it, they seem to have deals offered at coupon sites (I had one from Gilt City) fairly often.

If you actually walk down to St. Mark's and over half a block east, there's a great Thai restaurant that has dollar beer and "drunk-man" deals. Everytime we go to MSG for a game we pregame there.

Re: TRP: Summer, come now!

So I just got the mixed and mastered files for my new band's (link in sig) forthcoming CD. Some good stoner metal jams on there for anyone interested.

We'll likely do a digital-only release to start as the recording costs were sky high, but whatevs.
