The Pre-Party thing is Friday night.I'm bringing cans of monster to flugtag.
Everyone meet at my apt at 9:00. We drink starting then, probably at bootleggers, then head to flugtag at 11:00.

Sweet. That's where I was going to take PB anyways on friday night. The Pre-Party thing is Friday night.
Yes.48 hour bender?
Yes.You are bringing cans of Monster to an event sponsored by Red Bull?
As I said I can just meet you guys at Bootleggers or the island. Having MNS with you should make you easy to spot.
Do not lump gymnastics in with that other crap. The amount of strength, flexibility, and balance required far exceeds that of the other two.If figure skating and gymnastics are considered sports than so should competitive cheerleading.
Rstarr?Do not lump gymnastics in with that other crap. The amount of strength, flexibility, and balance required far exceeds that of the other two.
Sure, but then, you could say that about professional wrestling too and that's not a sport either.Do not lump gymnastics in with that other crap. The amount of strength, flexibility, and balance required far exceeds that of the other two.
I'm not comparing the two as far as which I find preferable to watch. I'm saying that both require the participants to be in extremely good physical condition, and neither are sports.Heh.
I prefer college gymnastics - the competitors are far more curvy / womanly than what you see in the olympics (partly due to age, partly due to training differences).
jhm - pro wrestling involves roided up dudes in underwear running around hitting each other. Women's college gymnastics involves curvy chicks in leotards flying through the air and spreading their legs a lot.
Not a tough choice, is it?
Pro wrestling is performance art (since it is scripted).I'm not comparing the two as far as which I find preferable to watch. I'm saying that both require the participants to be in extremely good physical condition, and neither are sports.
But there are nominally objective standards. Gymnastics is wholly subjective.Pro wrestling is performance art (since it is scripted).
I'll guess you don't think gymnastics is a sport due to judges determining point totals of the routines. If that's the case, then anything where judgment is required to determine a point total could be argued to be a non-sport. Baseball for example is heavily influenced by an ever-changing strikezone and many close safe/out calls.
Cameltoe is not subjective. But there are nominally objective standards. Gymnastics is wholly subjective.
Cameltoe is not subjective.
Oh yes it is - there's a big scale between college gymnast cameltoe and As Seen At Walmart cameltoe.
Not at all. Each routine has a maximum score based on the difficulty of the elements to be performed (this is determined before the routine, and the gymnasts base their routines on knowing what is required for the maximum). Each mistake results in a deduction of points from that maximum. The severity of the mistake determines the deduction - and that is really the only part that is subjective - but if the judges know what they're doing, the spread in score due to their subjectivity isn't all that much. But there are nominally objective standards. Gymnastics is wholly subjective.
