My daughter, 5yo, was giving grandma a makeover during the Super Bowl tonight. My girl is applying some very heavy make-up, and when she’s down she gives Grandma the okay to look in the mirror. The immediate reaction: “I thought I was going to look like a movie star, not a clown!”
My daughter: “Grandma, I’m doing my best.”

Random question for you all - I was planning to go to dinner tomorrow night with three friends. We were trying to plan a date - it's hard to get a date that we're all free. As luck would have it, we were all free tomorrow night. About an hour ago, one of the girls texted to say she had to pass because her debit card was compromised and she won't get a new one till next week. Is it wrong for me to wonder why she can't just get some cash to use? She's far from destitute. Now we're trying to re-schedule and it probably will take another 4-6 weeks before we're able to coordinate a date we're all free.

I think this answer differs depending on gender. Guys are willing to be direct, and simply ask, what's wrong with cash?
 
Last week, I was woken up by by next door neighbors around 3:00am. They're new, I haven't met them. I can hear them through the wall. Our master bedrooms back up to each other. A few times over the past few months I've heard them over night and I yelled "Keep it down!" or "Quiet!" and that has worked. Not this night. They're also heavy walkers. Or maybe one of them is. My floor actually shakes when they walk. It used to happen when my previous neighbor lived there. Anyway, I was woken up at 2:50am. They were talking and laughing. I yelled twice, it did nothing. I had to go sleep in my second bedroom that night. I reported them through the Management company's app at 2:57am

Today I got a message from the Management company that they responded they were asleep at that time. I guess I'm not surprised. But you can hear them thru the wall. The next time this happens I will go out to the hall to confirm it's not the neighbor across the hall and listen thru their front door. I'm going to have to try and record the sound on my phone. I wish I had one of the devices that could show movement through the wall. Infrared? Is that what they are? Are those available for the general public?
 
Guess what?? I have strep throat. I don't think I've ever had strep throat before. Thank God for the health center in the office. Going to take care of a few things here and then leave to pick up my prescription and work from home the rest of the day.

My wife’s uncle showed up to the Easter special with his homemade Buster Bars. So freaking good!
 
Had to go to a funeral yesterday. I was in the funeral procession from the church to the cemetery. There were many card. We all had our lights and hazards on, plus bright orange FUNERAL cards hanging from our rearview mirrors. But that did not stop several cars from trying to cut into the procession line. What is wrong with people??? At one point, a large dump truck pulled out from a parking space as I was driving by. Slammed on my brakes and leaned on my horn and didn't let him in. Then he pulled up next to me as the street opened to two lanes and tried to say something to me. I yanked the FUNERAL card off my rearview mirror and showed it to him and yelled "It's a funeral procession!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???" People these days - sheesh.

Yeah, that’s not surprising at all. I was cutoff during the procession for my mom’s funeral. People just don’t care.
