TRP: Alcohol-Induced Impotence

Re: TRP: Alcohol-Induced Impotence

Given where MEg lives, I bet I know which store it is (MGM?). Ever since it changed ownership years ago, it's become kind of shady, despite the neighborhood being decent.

You called it! It was all Yagers fault. Good thing he locked the doors to screw with us when we got out of the store!

Re: TRP: Alcohol-Induced Impotence

Saturday night, when bbdl and I found an empty table in the middle of the bar (prime seating location), the bouncer came over and mentioned that that table was "one of the 'money tables,' so make sure we spend some money and treat our waitress well."

I didn't know whether to be perturbed that we were being kind of told where to sit/what to do, or to laugh because the guy obviously didn't know/remember us from the night before.

I'm pretty sure due to the trays of shots that we were buying, that the bar was pleased. Especially the waitress/shot girl.

Really? I'd have laughed my *** off. Screw that. You don't tell patrons what to do or where to sit in a bar. This was Tom Reid's?

You should have said to the nearest waitress / staff member, "If you're going to have a pet, you should keep it on a leash". :p

The noise level in the bar was far more tolerable last night than Friday night.

Yeah, at Reid's. I guess I just couldn't believe he said that, and didn't know how to respond right away. He had to have been new(er) there or something, or just wasn't that bright. Heck, our waitress from the night before (who wasn't working on Sat, but was there with friends) remembered us and said hi to me, and the bartender sang along with us during the "Noel" and Ay Yi Yi Yi" songs.

Really? I thought it was about the same.

Just remembered:

I think the waitress was happy enough with us.

Yeah, she made a ton of money. Officially and unofficially. :D I wonder how much extra she made from us on the "bonus" tips. To her credit, she deserved every penny. It was darn near like having a personal waitress.

No it wasn't. Imagine how much more she would have made over those two days had she brought me more than one drink...

She really wasn't very good at her job.

Then you massively failed. Most of us would simply motion to her/asked her to head over, and she was over there right away to take our order, and delivered quickly. I rarely was without a drink.

At that point, I would have said, "Thanks, you should tell your boss you just cost the bar a few hundred bucks" and left for McGoverns. I wouldn't have stayed at that point.

Motioning does no good when she's not even looking in my direction. Don't pretend I don't know how to get drinks from a waitress at a bar.

Re: TRP: Alcohol-Induced Impotence

She would take my order quickly, then deliver it 15 minutes later or not at all. That's why I started buying two or three at a time. When I had one left, I would order again.

I always had a drink in my hand. At one point she just starting bringing me drinks without me having to order them. Brought a new one when she noticed I was getting done with the one in my hand.

It wasn't just her, it was the same way the night before. They just don't like me. Someone probably told them I sell drugs to high school chicks or something.
