Man, these are some very bad dudes. One police officer dead and one in critical condition tonight. Get this little c*cksucker arrested and introduce him to our chief interrogator, Sergeant Torquemada.

CNN reporting that after the most exciting night of his life, naked guy has been allowed to go home. One assumes he'll consume an adult beverage or two.

All these days later CNN still acting surprised that this is a "terrorist" incident. It's been a "terrorist" incident from the moment the bombs exploded. What we learned now is that it is a "Jihadist" incident. These two guys are Islamist murderers, evidently sent from overseas with plans to do exactly what they did. Even as this thing unfolds, these talking heads are still unwilling to mention the elephant in the living room.

HOLY MOTHER ****ING ****.

The first guy died because they think he had an explosive strapped to his chest which detonated after he was taken into custody.

CNN just showed the video of him on the ground. He had his hands spread wide. But the cops weren't closing in to slap on the cuffs. This would explain why they stripped that other guy.

Put these two on ice, then display 'em on a float in the Rose Parade. World wide audience. It's an open question whether they'd have to be covered in flowers. Probably no rule for corpses. FTD could do one of those animated things.

Fell asleep around 1:00. I see that I've missed a bunch.

Kinda hope they can take #2 alive to see if there are others involved although phone & email records may reveal all of that.

How did these two get in to the United States? Student visas? If so, from which countries? Can we do a better job of screening Middle Eastern students (assuming that's where they're from)? If they were here as students, can we reasonably expect their universities to do more to keep track of them?

If these two weren't students, then what was their status? If they were here legally, then we clearly didn't do enough to check them out. If they got here illegally, then that's a horse of a different color.

We don't want to overreact here, but we must do a better job of keeping people like this out of our country, whether they arrived legally or not. If not, then the changing tactics of our enemies, and their willingness to recruit volunteers, means we'll be seeing more of these events. We've been both good and lucky in preventing them in the years since 9/11. We're apparently going to have to get better. We can't rely on luck.

I'd imagine the cops in Watertown will be applying approximately the same standard to White Hat as the SEALS did to OBL. Nobody's gonna wait much more than a second before popping this guy.

You're right, there's a whole other investigation or investigations coming. Killing these two is a good thing. But it's only the beginning.

AP is reporting that these scumbags are from Chechnya and have been here for at least one year.

JFC it's like GTA wanted level 6 there. The whole of Watertown shut down, military vehicles all over the place. God be with the people of that area.
