Chill, man. It wasn't meant as a "correction" as much as a complementary discussion, especially given the setting and context. I knew it was an expression. No offense intended, more a sharing of "here's something interesting that most people wouldn't know."

The kid is from Russia, going to college in Boston, and appeared to be living like a normal American college kid. It is not out of the question that he's a hockey fan of one of the Boston teams. :eek:

Ruin his good name, probably most of the family is now going to end up having to leave the states. Would you want to stay here if your idiot cousin did something as heinous as this??

I heard on the radio, on my way into work, that there was some report of another car being stopped at the border crossing at Niagara Falls, with 2 Russians in it, and suspicious items in the car. Apparently the car had Massachusetts plates. Since I haven't heard anything about it since, I'm guessing it was either complete BS or a simply a false alarm.

The car was found with no one in it. All Amtrak service from Boston to Providence is shut down.

If this guy gets out of Boston, which only seems possible if there is some kind of support cell in place, at this point, all hell is going to break loose. I'm worried that we haven't heard that there is a lead on where he actually is at this point, unless I'm missing something.

Some news: all train service in CT between New Haven and Stamford was suspended for about 45 minutes earlier this morning due to "police activity in the vicinity of South Norwalk." That was all that was said. EDIT: was told subsequently that it was because police were searching an Amtrak train there. All commuter trains now running normally again.


Some unconfirmed rumors (I guess that's redundant, eh?)

Police found / searched the brothers' apartment in Cambridge and found explosives and bomb-making devices. Who knows whether other bombs were planted around the area or not. Maybe "martial law" was more to protect people from getting blown up than as the first step in a totalitarian conspiracy?

More speculation about the Saudi national who was captured on Monday. The quick deportation order is a bit unusual from what I understand. Might this Saudi have been a "handler" or whatever for the two brothers? The feverish conspiracy types are asserting that this Saudi is directly related to someone very important in the royal family.

A communications distributed to law enforcement in Connecticut mentioned a gray SUV that MIGHT be connected to the investigation. There was no indication that it was actually in or headed to Connecticut. The car was registered to the older brother, the one who was killed. The car was found in Cambridge, MA.

Haven’t heard anything about the Niagara Falls incident that bigblue_dl mentioned.
