TIGER WOODS hurt in car accident.

Re: TIGER WOODS hurt in car accident.

They're managing it tighter than a Palin "press conference." He'll make Deeply Sincere Contrition Noises about all the pain he has caused his wife, kids, sponsors, I mean, youngsters who looked up to him...

Step one in the carefully crafted comeback. The only question is whether Nike wrote his off-the-cuff comments, or just approved them.

Exactly.
I'm sure this has been planned for a long time now. Tiger isn't going away, he's still the best golfer in the world, and he's going to go out and try to dominate the sport again. I would bet that during this statement on Friday, he announces that he'll be playing in The Masters.

From The Wall Street Journal today ...

Davie-Brown, an Omnicom Group Inc. company that tracks the appeal of celebrities using online polls of U.S. consumers, said Mr. Woods was the 11th most endorsement worthy celebrity before the ugly disclosures, a ranking that has him sitting along side other celebrities such as Bill Cosby, Paul Newman and Jennifer Aniston. In the firms most recent ranking, Mr. Woods fell to number 2250, which is on par with celebs such as Pauly Shore and Pam Anderson

Ouch. :D

The dude never had any charisma to begin with. It's why him and Fed are so tight. They're dominant guys who don't have a drop of personality in their blood.

Bhuddism. A new twist on the religious angle.

This would not have happened if he accepted Jebus as his personal savior.

One win in a major and he'll be back up to 20th in the world in popularity. He's managing it just right.

Re: TIGER WOODS hurt in car accident.

The fact that his appearance garnered better ratings than women's basketball, and maybe the Spelling Bee.

But not the stirring return of Iceland's greatest hero (sorry, BJork) Magnus ver Magnusson to the World's Strongest Man competition.
(and only that because it doesn't interfere their worship of Mike Kryslfjskfajdl, Kobe Jesus, and the refusal to acknowledge ice hockey)

I wonder it there are any movies out there that merge golf and Buddhism together. Hmmm. :-)
