Well waddya' know...while the self proclaimed fan-experts are raving over all of their collective championship front runners and hopefuls...with their win over RPI today the 'ole Huntington Hounds have gotten off to a quiet 5-1-1 start...not bad for a team picked to finish in the bottom half of the division....who knows...things could get interesting....:cool::p:eek:

PURE HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#16 JULIA MARTY, NORTHEASTERN
(Senior Defenseman; Nussbaumen, Switz.)
Marty notched five points in two games this weekend. She tallied an assist with four shots on goal in a 2-1 win against Princeton on Oct. 22, then she notched her first goal of the season along with three assists to pace NU over RPI, 5-1, on Oct. 24.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
#9 TAYLOR WASYLK, BOSTON COLLEGE
(Freshman Forward; Port Huron, Mich.)
Wasylk scored a goal and assisted on Kelli Stack's goal on Sunday in 3-3 tie at Quinnipiac, then scored twice in Sunday's 5-2 win over Brown. She fired 13 shots on the goal over the weekend with a +6 plus/minus rating.

WHEA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#41 FLORENCE SCHELLING, NU
(Junior Goaltender; Oberengstringen, Switz.)
Schelling stopped 50 shots (.943 save percentage) on the weekend in two wins against Princeton and RPI. She made 25 saves in each victory. She also tallied her first career point thanks to her assist on Stephanie Gavronsky's goal against Princeton.

I'm treading water over here man. :(

Doesn't look like it helped me out too much anyway. And how is it that when I lived in the west, I was able to watch (and attend) much more hockey than I do now living in the east? :confused:

I'm still trying to "spread it around" so I can get back to some of you guys (:rolleyes:) Does this new forum have private messaging available?
