PURE HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#29 MARIE-PHILIP POULIN, BOSTON U.
(Freshman Forward; Beauceville, Que.)
Poulin recorded six points, including a career-high four goals on Friday Oct. 15 and a two-assist effort on Saturday. She finished the two-game sweep of Wayne State with 12 shots on goal and a +5 plus/minus rating.


PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
#9 TAYLOR WASYLK, BOSTON COLLEGE
(Freshman Forward; Port Huron, Mich.)
Wasylk registered points both games against Vermont this weekend, with one goal and an assist on Friday and an assist on Saturday vs. the Catamounts. She notched eight shots on goal with a +2 rating in the weekend sweep.


WHEA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#29 GENEVIEVE LACASSE, PROVIDENCE
(Junior Goaltender; Scarborough, Ont.)
Collected two road wins for the Friars this weekend recording 61 saves (.968 save%), beating host Syracuse 4-1 on Friday, making 31 saves. Lacasse then beat Colgate, 2-1, in overtime on Saturday, making 30 saves in the process.


WHEA TEAM OF THE WEEK
BOSTON COLLEGE EAGLES
The Eagles swept Vermont in their opening league series of the season. BC shutout the Catamounts Friday by a 3-0 score and posted a 4-1 win on Saturday to complete the sweep. The Eagles outshot Vermont, 71-42 on the weekend. BC went 9-for-10 on the penalty kill over the weekend, including a 7-for-7 performance on Friday. BC also scored two power play goals in Friday's 3-0 win.

I am really liking the format this year when "home" teams share opponents, such as Northeastern and PC sharing Princeton and RPI. There have been some really fun match-ups and I think it gives everyone variety!
