This Week In Hockey East - Volume III: A Return to Order or More Chaos?

Re: This Week In Hockey East - Volume III: A Return to Order or More Chaos?

Very Impressed with TonyTheTiger20's Upset of the Week selection.

Re: This Week In Hockey East - Volume III: A Return to Order or More Chaos?

You were so close to getting the "snap of the day" award, but the tiger cliche just doesn't make sense! But neither did Vermont beating North Dakota... so I conclude that you two are much smarter than me.

Yeah, but you also picked them to beat Bemidji. Even a blind tiger is right once a year, or something like that.

Re: This Week In Hockey East - Volume III: A Return to Order or More Chaos?

This week's WHEA award winners:

WARRIOR HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#21 LEXI BENDER, BOSTON COLLEGE
(Jr., F; Snohomish, Wash.)
Bender recorded her first career hat trick against the Syracuse Orange Saturday afternoon, helping the Eagles to a 10-2 win in their season opener. Bender's hat trick also marked the first multi-goal game of her career. The junior finished with a plus-two rating and added one blocked shot in the Eagles victory.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
#19 REBECCA LESLIE, BOSTON UNIVERSITY
(Fr., F; Ottawa, Ontario)
Leslie assisted on the game-winning goal in Friday night's 5-2 victory over St. Cloud State in Minnesota. The freshman forward then scored her first two collegiate goals the next night against No. 1 Minnesota, although the Terries ultimately fell to the Gophers 5-2.

WHEA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#30 MADISON LITCHFIELD, VERMONT
(So., G; Williston, Vt.)
Litchfield made 62 saves to backstop the Catamounts to a 1-1 split over the weekend, including her first-ever win over a ranked opponent in No. 7 North Dakota. The sophomore netminder turned aside 29 shots Saturday night in the win over North Dakota and returned to kick out 33 more against Bemidji State Sunday afternoon.

Nothing like those early split-squad games.

Too bad Keller wasn't on one of the squads - she could take one game and leave the team to the other;)
