UND is winless when playing games under a full moon, reffed by Jon Campion, and missing 1/3 of their top scorers, and Hakstol's mom protests the Sioux logo, and Mullet Man isn't at the game.

Ya....because your team's record against other teams in the tourney they're about to play in is as obscure as your examples.

I guess what they say is true....when you're born stupid it's forever.

We were 0-4 against Denver going into the Semifinal game at the F5.

The results of previous games mean nothing.

Thanks....and if you hear me out you'll find that I might be a gopher fan but I'm a hockey guy first and will always put the facts and the game before the gophers.....unless it's a good season and they're winning, then all bets are off. :D

For the record, UND is currently 4-8-2 against teams in the tournament. Four of those losses are against Denver, a team the Sioux just beat at the Final Five. Two of the losses are against SCSU, a team the Sioux beat twice in a row. UND split with Cornell, tied Miami and is 0-1-1 against Wisconsin. So another way to look at it is that the Sioux have beaten or tied every tournament team they've faced.

However, as I attempted to explain to Minnesota fans before the playoff series in Grand Forks and I attempted to explain to DU fans on this board, the UND team that lost 5-1 to the Gophers at Mariucci and lost four times to Denver is not the same Sioux team that's gone 12-1 at season's end.

Since February, UND has been a much better team for a number of reasons. The losses before that point of the season mean nothing at this point of the season.

David vs Goliath? Not quite.
UND is a whopping 3 spots higher in the PWR, it's not like this is a #1 vs #16 game or something.

I do like this quote though:

If Yale thinks that UND's playing style resembles Cornell, they're in for a rude awakening. :D

True. And Yale is the highest third seed on the tournament. If you believe PWR, the difference between the two teams isn't that great.

Cornell doesn't even try to score goals. They just pack it in around their own net and try to make it difficult for the other teams to score.

UND may be big and physical but their team speed is very high.

Yale should be worried about being able to break the puck out against UND's forecheck not the other way around.

Yale could prove me wrong tomorrow but until I see it I refuse to beleive it.

Pathetic.....

You don't bail on the persona of being the "school yard bully" that you've worked so hard to create just because some obscure beat writer buys into your story and paints a target on your back.
