Gets 2 more years on the job before exiting, and two years salary severance. I'm sure he learned his lesson.

"The University of Michigan Board of Regents voted Saturday morning to remove Mark Schlissel as president of the University of Michigan, effective immediately. The Board has named former U of M president Mary Sue Coleman as Interim President."

"He had planned to step down in 2023."

Good.

Does he still get his severance?

Hang in there on this Florida story. It builds like an Eddie Van Halen solo.

Interesting quote the cop had about how no one will prosecute the guy who punched him because of what he said.

I’m certainly no law expert, but under that standard basically anything besides a sucker punch would never see someone be charged.

It's under the Herpa Derp Code, in which you can respond to any provocation concerning your toxic masculinity with physical violence.

c.f. Every American movie since 1925.

The cop is probably right. See McFly v. Tannen, "Don't Call Me Chicken," 15 Cal. 4th 213, 932 P. 2d 210, 61 Cal. Rptr. 2d 638 (1955)
