The kids in Texas who died were kids at a fucking summer camp, absolutely brutal. The fact it was all girls will help it disappear from news cycle soon enough.

Except that Marjorie and others are pushing the weather manipulation angle cause what happened isn’t”natural”

So glad we gutted the weather service and FEMA. Sorry for those young girls but you reap what you sow. I know I wouldn't be living in Texas or sending my girls to camp in Texas if I could avoid it.

I am trying to find out the actual truth, but so far it looks like national may have called it but locals took 4 hours to make a Facebook post on a holiday

And really that's the best place to put your alert too, because I always check Facebook for life and death matters.

I hope they tell Abbott he needs to rake the riverbeds more.

People in Texas ignore alerts because last year, they sent one at 3am for a cop that was “likely shot at” turns out an acorn had fallen on his car hood.

And that’s why tons of Texans disabled cell phone emergency alerts

No, children lost their lives because the southeast voted Trump and his DOGE gutted NOAA, FEMA, and NWS, the areas that needs it last week. The leopard eating evidently included veal. They're really going to love the future hurricane seasons.


The National Weather Service’s San Angelo office, responsible for some of the areas hardest hit by Friday’s flooding, is missing a senior hydrologist, staff forecaster, and meteorologist.

The Weather Service’s nearby San Antonio office, which covers other areas hit by the floods, is missing a warning coordination meteorologist and science officer who are supposed to work with local emergency managers to plan for floods, including when and how to warn local residents and help them evacuate.

The office’s warning coordination meteorologist left on April 30, after taking the early retirement package offered by Musk’s DOGE to reduce the number of federal employees.

At both offices, the vacancy rate is roughly double what it was when Trump returned to the White House in January.

Climate disasters are just the next place where the right will say "now is not the time to point fingers" as progressives (and any of the non-flat-Earthers the right still has) point out correctly what happens when we gut our NWS and NOAA and people like trump encourage his followers to deny science, evidence and truth.
Children are always innocent victims but maybe when enough of them die, change will happen. I'm not holding my breath but there's always a chance.
