What the fuck is a baby basket? Besides, baby coffins are better. Everyone knows NYC leads the country in post-birth abortions. You’d think a Muslim would be against such things, but he’s a Democrat in his heart, first and foremost.
“He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC+3, Dummies ALL, backing him, and even our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, is groveling over him,” Trump added. “Yes, this is a big moment in the History of our Country!”
Plenty of idealists have delivered on their promises. Just because a significant chunk of voters are unable to make the connection doesn’t mean the promise wasn’t delivered. Worse yet, we have voters like you saying shit like “That bill/law is meaningless, won’t change a thing, the backslapping is awful because the politicians think the problem is solved when it’s not”, while, you know, voting for people who actively undermine or water down the bill to the point it’s far less effective than what idealists wanted. You blame progressives and Democrats for their lack of political will at this point. But we’re not the problem. You are. And you never learn. Voting for Biden and Harris doesn’t absolve you of that. Idealists getting “bitter” or “jaded” looks to you like that- but in reality, it’s radical acceptance that no matter how hard we try, we’ll always have to ally with people like you to get anything passed…and then watch you shit all over it and act like you know better. No, you don’t.Every person I know wishes, a) their income was higher, b) items they need to purchase were cheaper, and c) their lives were more convenient. Any candidate who comes in and promises those things automatically has a leg up. That is inevitable.
The beauty is, there are actually idealists who think they will deliver on their promises. That's a good thing, because it renews people's interest in participating in government.
It is equally inevitable that their idealism will pretty quickly get crushed and ground into dust by reality. Rent isn't going to get slashed. Buses won't operate for free. There aren't going to be municipal grocery stores in NYC.
But that won't deter future idealists from taking their shot, and that's a good thing.
As for the citizenry? The current idealists just become older, wiser, more jaded, more bitter, but still holding onto a seed of this irrational thought the idealism will somehow win out. You know, sort of like a lot of you guys.
Oh yeah, I keep forgetting. I'm the problem. My bad.Plenty of idealists have delivered on their promises. Certainly ain't the solution.Oh yeah, I keep forgetting. I'm the problem. My bad.
I’m sure he also Parrots the lies about how all the European Nations are just as miserable/worse off than Americans.Solutions are for "idealists"...unless they're solutions that cut taxes for business owners, of course.
Man, I just want to become the third-to-last country in the world to provide federally mandated paid maternity leave. I know that’s radical shit that idealist countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo provide for their women…maybe someday when all the idealists are dead we can finally get some shit done.I’m sure he also Parrots the lies about how all the European Nations are just as miserable/worse off than Americans.

I used to work with a woman who emigrated her from Russia. She told me that Russian women, in some situations, get 3 years of paid maternity leave. Mostly, they get 140 days, half before the expected due date and half after.Man, I just want to become the third-to-last country in the world to provide federally mandated paid maternity leave. What are people gonna ask for next? Where’s the line?I used to work with a woman who emigrated her from Russia. She told me that Russian women, in some situations, get 3 years of paid maternity leave. Mostly, they get 140 days, half before the expected due date and half after.
Probably because they need to encourage child bearing in Russia with the near complete loss of the entire male generation from 1919-1927ish and the echo of it every 20 years.I used to work with a woman who emigrated her from Russia. When we were looking at moving to Sweden, it was 15 months paid leave....but the birth mother could only take 12 of it; the other partner (if there was one) was eligible for whatever she didn't take. At 12 months, the children were eligible for fedrally subsidized day care that cost approximately $150/month out of pocket.I used to work with a woman who emigrated her from Russia.
