I was initially lukewarm on the new flag. Thought it was an improvement over the original, but that’s about it. It has really grown on me, though. At least 50% of that growth is due to the whining from the right.

I guess the current Canada flag had a reaction very similar. So much so that a few provinces changed their flag to mimic the outgoing one. (Ontario and Manitoba)

It is nearly universally loved now.

My favorite thing is seeing how many right-wingers are flying the old one and don't even have the wherewithal to iron it so it doesn't look like they just bought it a week ago and pulled it out of the box as a "protest."

I'd be willing to bet that if you took the name Minnesota off the old flag and showed it to most of these right wingers they couldn't have told you what state it was for up until it was decided it would change.
 
Tomorrow is election day for our Mayoral election here in Anchorage. Our current MAGA mayor is running for reelection against a local Democrat, although city elections are non-partisan. After 3 years of chaos and total failure, our current mayor is not running on his record (because it sucks) but rather that only he can prevent Anchorage from falling to "one party rule" (our Assembly has had a more left leaning supermajority for the entire three years). Yeah, an entire campaign on strictly "only I can provide balance" after three years on the job.

After pardoning the guy who murdered a BLM protester because he was supposedly "scared" for his life, but admitted later that the protester wasn't brandishing his weapon.

Abbott is an absolute area clown and Texas should figure out their own problems, since they're so independent. Unfortunately, we can't screw over individual voters to play politics, so they will get the aid.

The MI GQP has no other discernable skills than lighting money on fire.
 
Here’s the thing Red States have with those liberal scum: Churches used to be a great way to hide sexual predators but the libs just keep ruining everything as if minors and minorities should have rights!
