Bashaer appears to be falling for the centrist crap, again.

Just because he’s not as bad as Newsom doesn’t mean he’s a hero.

I guess calling himself “normal” and explaining that if Dems just stop using advocacy language , republicans would vote for them.

Liberals have always been the worst enemy of progress in this country. They immediately embrace the (empty) Center whenever the hard Right puts pressure on them. The Left may sometimes act stupid, but they have principles. Liberals have no spine and their sole principle is the least amount of risk and effort. They will sell anybody down the river to avoid any challenge to the status quo.
 
So the Legislature here in Alaska worked together to pass a funding increase for public schools. The Governor vetoed it.

The Governor then called for a special session, officially to consider his wanted “reforms” for public education (reforms being expanded charter and home schooling programs designed to funnel money to religious groups in blatant violation of Alaska’s Constitution) but in reality to run out the clock on the five session days that the Legislature has to override his veto.

And the timing of the session was intentionally scheduled to coincide with the deployment of a member of the Democratic leadership.

Now said State Senator has received leave and is expected to be back for the session.
