The solution will be to do nothing and let the courts decide. That way they can go to the voters and claim it is all the judiciary's fault.

Well I'm sure you're happy, since SCOTUS now has a conservative bent for at least the next decade (two decades if Ginsburg and/or Breyer kick the bucket anytime in the next couple years). And no, I don't trust Roberts to side with the libs on this issue.

The solution is to remove it from party influence and go to as non-partisan (not bi-partisan) an algorithm as possible. It will take us a long time to get there because the parties are sociopathic but we will eventually. It's one of the biggest flaws of our democracy.

Obama tried to make it more “fair” by nominating the most white male milquetoast centrist he could and it still got blocked by McConnell. Which is a huge difference from the far right whiny twat who cried about Clinton led conspiracies after they questioned his past.
At this point idc what the next dem does if they win, the current setup is a complete sham and we all know which party is more responsible.

When a SCOTUS position becomes available I seat the highest, healthiest, youngest one. The right has been doing the converse for the last 20 years and we have to act in kind.
