From everything I've seen/read/heard Lakes Mead and Powell will need many years of normal to above normal snow/precip to get out of drought conditions. And that still may not be enough. Most of their water comes via the Colorado River which is just so over utilized beyond any reasonable amount. It will also take drastic changes in how it's used and allocated

Yep. Unfortunately, the red hats would vote to allow corporations to drink the lakes dry if it meant a $100 rebate check every tax season.

Lori wasn't shown the door because she had "too much pressure" to perform, it's that she never performed at all and chose to be adversarial. Starting with butting heads with the Police right out of the gate and escalating it during the pandemic and riots.

I like the idea, but it's also giving "if you pick on me 13 or 14 more times, I'm out of here" vibes.
 
I normally I side on the err of caution, but in this case fuck 'em for all the terrorizing they're doing to LGBTQ.

Which is disappointing really. While, yes, there are concerns for waste disposal and other factors, I firmly believe Nuclear should have been a viable option (as part of many options combined). There are absolutely insanely smart people that have been working on nuclear power and how to make it better and better and how to deal with waste and what not for years. But because it won't/can't be as profitable if you do it correctly and safely....sigh.

That's the key. "As profitable". No one is happy with making a good living anymore. Greed has overtaken all other considerations.
