The States 2: States Rights for Me But Not for Thee

Frankly for 2028 AOC should be the choice and she has zero chance of winning. And that's the problem with everything right now.

Then she shouldn't be the choice. Hell is other voters, just like Madison said. On balance that's good.

How about we run on a handful of very popular policies. Choose from these for instance:

1. Enshrine the right to choose with federal legislation.
2. Restore the Voting Rights Act to its original scope and strengthen it.
3. Keep appointing justice until Citizens United is overturned and recognized by the Court as an error on the order of Dred Scott.
4. Lower all income taxes through $1M income. After that, progressively higher rates ending in 99% for incomes over $1B. 10x the IRS budget and staff to catch cheats.
5. Tax all wealth over $1B at 1%.
6. Increase the budget and powers of the CFPB.
7. Prohibit any use of armed military units in US territory except in cases of invasion and insurrection as declared by a supermajority of both branches of Congress.

And scene.

It's going to be less fun voting for him in the General, but despite his slime or perhaps because of it he can win.
I dont think Gavin gets the Nom...I think if this was15 years ago its locked but I think most non-centrists are done with him. Those podcasts with right wingers and his stance on many of the big issues will tank him. Add in his meely mouth stance on Gaza and he is going to struggle.

Terrorist. Enjoy South Sudan or wherever they send you. (I'm sure I'll be going there soon as well)

I have been following Gavin since he was Mayor (cause I liked him) and watching him soften to the Center is pretty obvious if you go back. Hell he gives you a nice breakdown of it in the interview. If Gavin was still in San Fran his policy/opinion on Trans Athletes wouldn't exist and he rails against whoever is in Sacramento for suggesting anything.

But just Google Gavin and Homelessness and watch the PR ops he does. For all his newfound love of The Bible he has very little respect or love for the dispossessed.
I will vote for Newsom in the general; you can add 30 years, stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and a superfluous diagnosis of dementia to his resume, and I’ll still vote for Newsom in the general. In the primaries, he’s my 10th choice without anyone else in the race yet.

That isn't how you get rid of billionaires.

At this point I suggest nominating someone who will win
I am done with pragmatism...either we put forth the best candidate possible or who friggin cares? "Most Electable" is how we got where we are...and how the Democrats became so massively unpopular.

"We can't nominate Bernie because they'll call him a Socialist. He's unelectable."

"Joe Biden is saying he owns the socialism and extremism in his party, that he owns it," Trump said in a Sept. 30 Minnesota rally.

Andrew Yang on CNBC this morning saying he had access to early NYC polling data and says Cuomo is a lot closer than it seems.

I have just one question: why the fuck does Yang have access like that?

I am guessing Yang has access to demographic breakdowns (which most people can find) and saw that as of now the votes are from older more well off people who can afford to take the day off voting.

He has zero access to actual votes.

I would bet right now it is rather close...because places like Brooklyn andd The Bronx arent voting en masse yet.

Not to say Mamdani or his supporters should be overconfident or anything...but there is a lot of money out there trying to worry people into giving up and I guarantee Yang is part of that.
