The Sioux looked like they lost their game, not their name

Re: The Sioux looked like they lost their game, not their name

*sigh*

Sacred Heart was a top 2 AHA team and barely missed the NCAA tournament when the schedule was put together. Vermont coming up in a couple of weeks was in the Frozen Four when they were scheduled. Minnesota can't help where the teams are now. Nice loss to BC, again. You're their beech.

he he well done scoobs... nothing like a little chest beating after a 2-0 start eh?

Not to mention, it was the first opening weekend back-to-back shutout performance from UMN since 1936. If you consider the teams the Gophers have fielded since then, it shows you just how difficult it is to shutout an opponent, any opponent, on back-to-back nights this early in the season. Factor in the shutout against British Columbia (in which they didn't allow them a shot on net the entire first period), and that's six straight periods of shutout hockey by the Gophers in which they have thoroughly dominated.

Granted, the opponents haven't been the best, but the Gophers did exactly what they were supposed to do, and more.

Find the chest beating post by Scooby. I think what you're more likely to find are comments that fans are pleased that the Gophers took care of business the way they should be expected to - something that they too often fell short of in seasons past. It's a good sign but certainly doesn't carry with it a title or promises of something great. Personally I would never start a thread like this and don't find it reasonable to criticize UND for this game, but really?

The goofs had a great weekend, no denying that. Scoobs coming into this thread would have never happened without it, he would have climbed into his bitter little pity-party hole like he always does. He was calling out what he thought was a UND fan but was a BC fan, so don't expect that to go unnoticed. I like scoob's posts normally but with the beeach comments he's coming across a bit like rinkpig... anyways the goofs still suck;)

I've never hid. Win, lose, or draw. NEVER.

Re: The Sioux looked like they lost their game, not their name

Have always been a big fan of the Sioux, but, man they were schooled by BC. The only players I thought showed up were Kristo & Nelson. Maybe my friends are right, it's time for a new coach?

since i watched on tv i can attest that all the players showed up, they just aren't very good.

there isn't a team in the nation that wouldn't love to have Popsicle Toes playing for them.

I see the Gophers really went for that juggernaut early season schedule. Forgot Sacred Heart had a D1 team until I turned on the Friday night game.
You sure they aren't DIII? I mean alot of DIII schools could beat them. Talk about one shytty hockey team. Got the goof fans all giddy though. Yeehaw.

I prefer Krispy Toes since it's a play on words. :D

That story will never be lived down. Well, I take that back; because I didn't think Lawn Mower Tossing would be topped and sure enough Krispy Toes to the rescue. The bar is high now though, what Sue player will step up and take the crown this year? Time will Tell...One thing is for sure is that when it happens, Hakstool will find a new creative way to sweep in under the rug.

Icehawk...

Rinkpig is in the wisconsin threads quite a bit so I'd say he's obsessed with sticking it to his neighbor's the west and the east

also...where is DIRTY? 30 posts in and he's not here?

I try not to read his dribble so I was unaware.

Yeah, well their logo and name are fine with 99% of the population, it's just the 1% like you that think because you have an opinion, we all have to bow down to you. Life isn't fair, deal with it instead of whine. Also what's amazing, is that most of the people that have time to protest don't have a job! Is that their fault or mine?
5 posts in and I was lost. Until it was explained....

I knew you weren't real bright, but man, the lack of reading comprehension it must take to read Scoob's post and take it as chest beating is simply awesome.

Most of us are merely cautiously optimistic. Given the fact none of our teams over the past four years would have shut SH out both nights or put up goal totals anywhere near what we saw this weekend, I think our reaction is reasonable.

Well obviously there is no point for UND to continue on so why don't we have BC & tRodents play a best of three series, give the winner the 2011 1/2 championship & we'll just start the season over in 2 weeks.
