Re: The Power of the SCOTUS Part VII - The Bedrock of the Republic!
I have been for gay marriage for years (possibly for a longer period of time than you) and was happy with the supreme courts decision on it. I was so because it allows freedom and acceptance for everyone for whom this is a way of life.
I'm not sure how you all missed the point of a video with the name 'Not Alone'. There were dozens of points made in the video...I don't think one was bigoted. Nobody said that gays are sinning and going to hell. Nobody said that gays are a problem for society. They showed people soul searching an issue for some that is not clear cut. How is that bigotry?
So you disagree with their point of view (and so do I). You could have just said 'huh...yeah, let's agree to disagree' and your reaction would have been on the same level as theirs'. But your overreactions show much less tolerance and more distain than this handful of individuals for whom gay marriage doesn't make sense. The whole video is about how others will look down on them for sharing their view. I guess they have reason to be concerned.
Punchlines can't make jokes, they are the joke.
If you want to feel really ****ed off, check out this video from some victimized bigots. https://youtu.be/I6PPk2NOQXs
It doesn't make me mad, if anything it makes me kinda sad. Their happiness actually rests on keeping others unhappy. That's the most un-Christian sentiment possible.
Wow. Even worse that it's a Catholic organization. Bigotry was peachy keen for 2000 years, but now it's suddenly a problem? Hilarious. Not so fun INSIDE the barrel, is it?
