I can't really bring myself to feel BAD for North Korea, but, ouch.

I guess Argentina and Spain have the easiest groups.

Group D looks like it will be extremely competitive, Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana

Looks to me on paper that it should be easy enough to go 2-1 in that pool and advanced. 3-0 would be excellent, but lets not get greedy here.

Bob Ley needs to mention the US beating England and it being one of the biggest upsets ever a few more times.

If the USA can't get out this group, we're cutting the soccer program..and only 5% of the country will care...if that

This group is nowhere as weak as people think though. Algeria is scrappy, and Slovenia...I don't underestimate them.

I like playing England first. Momentum is huge at the World Cup and if we can go into the Round of 16 on a roll, it will really help.

In a side bet, Her Majesty has gone double or nothing with the President on the outcome of England / USA.

It's not the weakest group but still the US got one of the "weaker" top seeds and they will have a lot of emotion on the line taking on England. The press for this game will be unreal.

It could have been much worse but I'll take Algeria and Slovenia ANY day over Ivory Coast, Ghana, France, Portugal etc.

FSC is showing Sky Sports News on this, much better than ESPN's coverage.

maybe i missed it, but what was the rationale for Ivory Coast getting placed in Group G. I thought if an African Nation was selected when drawing for Group A at that point, they placed them in the next available group. Nigeria was placed in B after they were drawn. I assumed if another African Nation was drawn they would go into Group C, but that was not the case. Not complaining because the US dodged a bullet, just trying to understand.

The best guess on here was they placed them in the groups with a CONMEBOL seeded team to avoid further conflict. Group B just happened to be Argentina.
