No one is forcing the other teams to play at WCHA rinks. There must be a reason they are agreeing to play there. I wonder what that could be...

Ya cuz no eastern teams draw well. And they certainly wouldn't draw well if big name opponents come to town.

I am sure that some do. But are the WCHA teams bullying Eastern teams to come play at their rinks? Or are they offering them a choice between a return trip or $$?

I anticipate it getting worse with the Big 10 coming up and the HEA restructuring. We'll all be desperate for non-conf games. Then again, UNH is advertising 20 home games, in spite of the Icebreaker and the FL New Year's tourney.

Boy, that WCHA is looking really impressive so far. Lost to Yale, about to lose to Lowell and losing to (excuse me?) Niagara? Very impressive.

A result in a one-off tournament doesn't define an entire season. That said it doesn't matter in the end if you lose the games that matter most. No matter what congrats to the winners so far and those that will be. Wish it were different but that's why they play the games. :(

btw, my comments before about the brackets had nothing to do with feelings about any team gettin screwed. I don't buy that terminology - win and take care of business.
