Yes. The first series of the season. No shame in losing twice to UNH on the road the first two games. I picked UNH to make the championship in my CHN bracket. I hope we get to play UNH again.

Yup, because they've dominated the NCAAs.

That said all that matters is who remains standing and UM and UW are not.

Why is no one from Denver in here about the video review on the non-call that resulted in a major and game DQ? That was insane!

After seeing wisco play yesterday i think they got screwed. their reward for winning the wcha was to get sent packing to Manchester. they had no legs and lowell took it to 'em.

I'm certainly not speaking for DU fans. I've got to say I've never seen a penalty (that was not called in real time) called on the basis of instant replay. But I also have to say that it was absolutely the correct call. When you say "insane", do you mean "a weird occurrence" (I agree), "a bad call" (we disagree), or "contrary to the rulebook" (don't know)?

Can't argue with whether the call was legit but you can't call a penalty from a replay if you missed it the first time. For pity's sake, half the games would take 10 hours if they allow that. I know they can penalize the person after the game if the tape is submitted but no way is replay supposed to be used to retroactively call a penalty

Boy, that WCHA is looking really impressive so far. Lost to Yale, about to lose to Lowell and losing to (excuse me?) Niagara? Very impressive.

It's so entertaining watching people become ecstatic over the historical powerhouse WCHA losing a few games. When they get that jealous, it means they still fear the WCHA and breathe a sigh of relief when one of us loses. Yet another reason we can thank Penn State for helping to tear apart the best conference in college hockey. BTW, I'm sorry to see Minnesota and Wisconsin leave our regular schedule and was cheering for the B1G SUCKS banners at the final five proudly waved by Minnesota fans but applauded by the entire arena.

It never occured to me to 'fear' the WCHA or breathe a sigh of relief when 'one of you' loses. In the last 5 yrs HE has won 4 out of 5 yrs. If any sigh of relief occurs it would be because one of the HE teams gets eliminated but it is more likely a little grin because they are regular season rivals.

WCHA can have their regular season superiority as long as a HE team that we don't like wins at the end.

(BTW: I should start betting money on UNH winning NCAA games after the "Fire Umile" thread starts. Did anyone in HE NOT see that coming?)

it is painfully obvious that the committee overloads certain regions each year with WCHA teams not to prevent an all-WCHA frozen four but rather to try to force one of you through to it. it seems the only NCAA wins for WCHA teams are usually against other WCHA teams!

Very much in agreement. Another thread mentioned the replay was to 'get the right player' which I am not buying for half a second.
