NFL network is saying Baltimore traded but apparently they initiated their trade after the clock ran out...so Kansas City swooped in...

Darn, was hoping Ingram might fall to the Packers. Looks like he's going to New Orleans.

New England makes a trade: Ingram to New Orleans. Cant say there is a surprise of a New England trade.

Yeah, Ingram was looking pretty good. Oh, well, ---- ------ is still on the board (not jinxing it, but you can play hangman - fear the beard), otherwise I think we're looking DE/DT.

Seems like they do that nearly every single draft. They just keep trading their "extra" first round pick this year for a 2nd/3rd round pick this year and a 1st next year.

At least they don't waste a draft pick reaching for a QB at 12. Idiots.

I'm a Bills fan, and I agree with Shirtless. Mountie, we ALL get that you are frustrated. We don't need to be reminded every other post. I'm frustrated all to hell, but I won't stand on my soapbox and yell to the masses, because it doesn't matter (especially on THIS board). Just sayin'.

Maybe if he figures out how to stay healthy he will be a reliable backup or journeyman QB.

Good night for the Bills. (Yes, I am saying something positive.) Dareus will help instantly. I heard people saying that he's just counting his time untile he can leave, but I think he was happy to picked third. He almost squeezed Roger to death when he came on stage. We still have Dalton, Mallet and Kapernick on the board. I'd go O or D line and then pick a QB in Round 3. Hopefully Mallet will still be there.

Its not that bad of a plan. Just need to get some corners who can stay with a WR for about 8 seconds, doesn't need to cover that great, but be around them in the passing lanes, and the Lions D is going to be downright scary. Lots of big strong MoFo's who are still pretty young and eat QB's for lunch all on the DLine. Would like them to see them get somebody do replace Backus as well. Word is that he's thinking about getting in just one more season. just odd this year that there hasn't been any free agent moves being made.


Also, anybody else surprized at just how many O Line and DLine guys went in the first round last night? A lot of the prime Beef is now all gone.

So the Ravens "pass" last night was really Chicago's fault. Peter King:
Chicago, picking 29th, and Baltimore, at 26, finalized a trade that would have had them switch slots, with the Ravens getting the Bears' fourth-round pick in return. Chicago would take Wisconsin tackle Gabe Carimi, and the Ravens, if Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith was still on the board, would take Smith at 29. With two minutes left in the Ravens' period, the deal was done. Under NFL rules, each team has to report the trade to NFL draft headquarters at Radio City Music Hall. The Ravens called it in. They assumed Chicago called it in, but due to a miscommunication in the Bears draft room, no one from Chicago ever called the league.

Last week I was told by somebody close to Ponder that they thought he might go first round and I just smiled and nodded...thinking that was just wild optimism. More than one team told him they were interested in taking him early, according to this person. Seems like they were mostly correct...I haven't heard if any teams have come out and said they also had him high or didn't have on board until much later. That usually is a good way to figure out who made a mistake.
