The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

I'm not a big fan of Nick Fairley. Not when we're bleeding corners and have a turnstile for an offensive line.

Agreed. Fairley is a great player, but does he make Detroit better? I guess we'll see. If Detroit becomes the next steel curtain I'll eat crow :p:D:D

Suh, Fairley, VandenBosch... 'Ruh 'Roh fellow Packer fans. The Lions are loaded.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

What the ****. First it's WR's for an eternity, now we'll have 30 defensive linemen and no corners.

Or offensive linemen, for that matter. I would have preferred Akamura, but Pouncey wouldn't have broken my heart, either.

Meh. Florida's offensive line last year was a disaster. He wasted a year snapping balls over the QB's head to improve his draft stock when he's not a center.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

That's fine. We need a guard to replace Peter-less as well as the midget we have currently at center.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Anyone else think Mark Ingram looks a little bit like Ice Cube from back in the day?

Well, the plan is apparently to win every game 7-3 after killing all 3 QB's in the opposing lineup like the Green Bay game.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

I hope so, because once the ball leaves the QB's hands, it's 30 yards and a first down.

What secondary help was worth it at that spot? Peterson was gone. You wanted them to use that pick for Rahim Moore? Maybe they can trade back up and get him.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Again, Prince Amukamara was my preference. Our corners have needed help for at least a decade and counting.

I almost wanted the Vikes to take him. Whoever ends up getting him is gonna be happy they got such a steal on him.

I'm still analyzing the Ponder pick, I'll give my analysis soon.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Amukamara to the Giants. Good pick, they're defense needs someone to shutdown Desean Jackson;)

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Bowers gies from being a potential #1 pick a few months ago to a complete free fall. Whoever gets him is getting a huge steal at this point.

A lot of people see him as a 1-contract player, and will not play much longer than 4-5 years. It's a risk someone in the late part of the first round will take, and I agree, will get an amazing player.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Just what the hell is anyways? This franchise is complete crap, and I for one won't care when they go to LA.

Honestly, I don't think the Wulfs would be sad about moving the team to LA and then selling it. Hell, maybe this is all part of their plan to kill any support for a new stadium.
