Of course, if they wanted to televise Sunday college hockey starting in October instead of college football, no problem.
If the NFL is not playing, no problem. The networks are trying to fill 4 - 8 hours of air time on Sunday. I for one, do not want to see cooking shows, reality shows, extreme sports or anything of that ilk. But, us old fogies remember when the World Series was televised during the day. MLB could fill out some of the dead air by putting the playoffs on daytime TV on Sunday.The question is whether the TV networks want to go to Sunday games and tick off the NFL. They would get great ratings in the short term, but the nets have a substantial relationship with the Shield. Not sure they want to jeopardize that.
Also, college football needs to be careful or the NFL may decide when they come back that they'll put a couple games a week on Saturday and take some of the luster off the college game.
