Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

CARSON PALMER HAS NOT BEEN, NOR WILL EVER BE, A "SEXY" PICKUP/DRAFTEE IN FFL. EVER.

Every *ing year. * you. He's terrible. And I've never had him on my team, so it's not a "I got burned" thing. I've heard this term applied to him every. F*ing. Year. And have just heard it twice in the last 5 minutes on the NFL Network. Trrrble. (c) Charles Barkley.
My current QBs are Andy Dalton and Sam Bradford. (I had Henne and McNabb)...you can see where I'm going with this pick.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Just to clarify...thats JEROME Harrison..not James Harrison. When I first read it I was a bit shocked because I thought you were talking about the Steelers linebacker.

Herp derp derp goes me.

So to sum up: Best may be out for the season. We didn't get Ronnie Brown. We don't even get back the person we were going to trade to get him. (Happily, this whole situation may have saved his life.) Oh, and we're past the trade deadline so we can't engineer another trade. And the free agent pool consists of Carrot Top, Mr. Ed, and Jim Schwartz's son's drawing of a fire truck.

Did William Clay Ford decapitate a puppy in the bathroom of a Denny's or something?

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

If one more person on here sandbags their team against any minnesota football team, I'm going to cut them.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

I have a horrible team in a keeper league with 100% player retention (our draft each year consists of everyone having the final rosters from last year then doing add and drop for a few rounds).

My wide receiver situation is pitiful. I have Larry Fitzgerald (yay), Brandon Marshall (yay, but only sometimes), then Devery Henderson, Victor Cruz and Johnny Knox (ouch). I just realized that James Jones is available and I think that would be a solid pickup, even if the ball gets spread around a lot in GB. The question is, who do I cut? Because it's a keeper league, and I've been hurt bad in the past by cutting young recievers too soon (I once had Colston!), I'm afraid that I'll drop a guy who ends up becoming a stud in a year or two. I'm thinking that Henderson sucks but might be good eventually, and Cruz might have the biggest upside. Do I cut Knox?

Nothing like throwing together a FFL lineup at 12:59 PM.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Was hopeful for a wardrobe malfunction in London during God Save The Queen, didn't happen. :(

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Today is a terrible day for FFL teams. Too many good players have a BYE.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

why is ron winter employed? his crew throws a flag on just about every play

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

One of my teams is doomed with Wes Welker, LeSean McCoy, Aaron Hernandez and Stevie Johnson on bye.

I have a team that comes in 6-0 called "No Scrubs" but the starting lineup today is pretty much all scrubs. My bench is Brady, Welker, Green-Ellis, Gostkowski, Maclin, Bradshaw and Vernon Davis. I'm starting Ryan, Thomas, Starks, Graham, Marshall, Decker and Watson. Somehow I'm winning, but he has Mendenhall and MJD still to go.

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Phillip Rivers with the worst clock management ever...

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

The chargers/rivers/turner are THE dumbest football team in the league

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Rivers was obviously employing the strategy to go long on 5th down.
