Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

Did something happen in Detroit that that game is so far behind the others timewise?

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

I have nothing against the Lions, but I love that the 49ers gave them their first loss of the season. So Good!

God I hate Jim Harbaugh

All hail the Fighting Harbaugh!

Haha, double-covered receiver still gets open for a long TD. That's the **** Vikings secondary we all know and love.

According to CNBC's Darren Rovell, some guy from Delaware bet $5 on a 15-game game parlay and when the Ravens won by more than 4 points today he made a cool $100K.

Yo, Lovie, I need a TD from Forte...don't let Barber vulture the touchdown!

The question I have about that is this: if you bet on a 15 game parlay and the first 14 games hit, exactly how nervous would you be? Or more to the point, would you kill yourself if that 15th pick failed by a point as your team didn't cover the spread? :p

At that point, assuming you had the cash (and with a $5 starting bet, maybe the guy didn't), don't you have to hedge there?

Re: The NFL Thread, Part III: What lockout?

If his parlay was with a fiver, I don't think he has a grand of idle cash sitting around to hedge there. :p

And if that doesn't summarize the Vikings, nothing does: 4th and 3, call a timeout coming out of the TV break at the two minute warning, decide to go for it, then the dip**** jumps the gun and commits a false start penalty, forcing them to kick the FG - which is then promptly shanked wide left from 38 yards.

So awesome, so very very awesome. :D
