Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Questionable use of challenges by Pittsburgh. I understand you feel obligated to throw the flag on the fumble/TD, but the replay seemed clear. And it's easy to second-guess, but is challenging 14 yards of field posotion on the opening kickoff a great idea? Hindsight is 20/20 but it worked out poorly.

Ya

What I don't like is that they got one of the challenges right, so they should still have one remaining IMO.

I agree with that. I'm surprised they've never changed that ruule.

IIRC Rex Ryan ran out of challenges against Green Bay by over-challenging early, and needed one later that could've turned the game around. This seems to happen quite a bit.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

No one would of expected either of these teams to score over 20 points, so the Ravens really are in good shape to win this game even if they don't score another point.

You would think, but the Ravens defense is a little overrated IMO. They've give up a lot of late leads this year. I think Pitt can throw on them.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Amazing that they played prevent defense and still gave up a huge play. Again proving that it is a useless defense to play... ever!

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

With that dumb penalty, Ravens already in Hail Mary range.

Not that that's all that terrifying, with Flacco playing the way he is.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Why did go for it all right off? They had time to move the ball. Too bad Baltimore's receivers suck
