Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Alrighty, that was a little scary, especially running out celebrating before being touched down. Bring on Atlanta!

More dead birds fall from the sky! AAAAHHHHHH!

No kidding. I was yelling GET DOWN GET DOWN.

If I'm the Eagles, I seriously think about offering Vick to the Vikings or Arizona over the offseason. Even if he's fantastic, how many more hits can he take?

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

The only way the playoffs get better would be a Packers-Seahawks NFC Championship and the week of the game Pete Caroll comes out and says, "Yeah, I totally gave Clay Matthews a **** ton of roids at USC."

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Finally saw that Lynch run and I guess that adage is true.

"Play hard or I'll send you back to Buffalo."

Hey all, I've got some bad news. I spent some time looking at the NFL rulebook this afternoon, and it appears that there is no way that the Jets and Patriots can both lose on Sunday. We'll just have to hope that the Steelers or Ravens stomp whoever wins.

jmh = donovan mcnabb?!?!
I knew what the overtime rules WERE, because they were simple and made sense. I didn't realize the NFL had actually caved in to the "we can't play defense" whiners.

Did you not watch any of the games this past weekend? Or any of the pre-game shows? Because they talked about it about a thousand times over the course of the day on both networks.

I actually don't think I watched any of the games other than the end of the Eagles/Packers game, I was out of town for hockey games and stuff, or I guess maybe I would've heard sooner.

Micheal Vick just tweeted that he won Comeback POY

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Favre's troubles take another turn.

Meth labs are about as prevalent in the South as cheese grits, so it's not a huge deal when the cops bust one. Unless Brandi Favre, the sister of Brett Favre, is in the lab at the time, which she was according to a report on WLBT in Mississippi.

The local station reports that five individuals, including Brandi Favre, Brett's younger sister, were in a Diamondhead, Mississippi condo when Hancock County narcotics agents arrested them Wednesday. (And yes, this does kind of feel like piling on at this point, but until those retirement papers are filed, it's news.)
