The Next Professional Wrestling Thread: Here Comes The $$$$$

Alright, there's a lot of WWE news to sum up

1. Vince is back as Executive Chairman.

2. Stephanie has resigned effective immediately.

3. Triple H is still in charge of creative but nobody knows for how long.

4. Nick Khan is now CEO.

5. WWE has reportedly reached a deal to be sold to the Saudis.

Yeah, it really was. This entire list makes me consider giving up altogether.
You weren't the only one, the backtracking has already begun. It's ranging from "there's no deal in place and they're exploring all options" to "the company is not for sale!"

I'm willing to bet a deal was in place to sell to the Saudis and Vince came back to complete it but the reaction made them pause. And by reaction I mean Comcast and Fox reacting badly because Vince doesn't care about anyone else.

You know how easy it is tell Vince is back in charge? Because they're going to continue to shove Roman Reigns down people's throats.

I don't understand the logic of that. The roof would have come off last night if Cody wins. It would have dismantled the bloodline entirely, which is good, it had it's run. Instead we had a horrible ending to mania. Also, they could have ended Edge entirely. Him coming back has really done nothing for the company or for him personally to be honest. He was never going to be on top again. They didn't.

Had no problem with Asuka losing. She's kind of done. Belair is the best there is. Rhea going over is fine, but the rest of her "faction" all got their butts kicked. That entire faction is worthless to be honest.

Not giving it to Cody reminds me of Hogan in AWA never beating Bockwinkle. It's dumb.

It’s classic WWE shortsighted corporate thinking. They just sold the company so things are new and unsound. They look at the numbers and see business has been growing the last few months, it’s gotta be the whole “Bloodline” storyline! Let’s just keep that going!

It never fails. When things are uncertain they’ll always go with the people who were “loyal”, fans be damned. Cody, Finn, Asuka, Owens, Zayn? They all made their name away from WWE or left in the past, can’t trust em.

I love all the reports about “Triple H is still in charge of creative” and WWE stans online going “Triple H is totally in charge” followed by reports of “Raw was rewritten multiple times, multiple segments were scrapped” and “talent was very frustrated” and “Vince was backstage at Raw”.

Best comment I saw: “If a corporation comes out and tells you things aren’t changing, things have already changed.”

They doubled and tripled down on Roman last night. Used Brock to destroy Cody. I'm thinking Cody never gets the title for starting AEW. Which is kind of sad. They let the mentally unstable CM Punk have it for an extended period of time.

I think this is Montreal Screw Job all over again.

Well, reading the reports and it appears Vince has come back. I don't understand how or why. I guess it proves that powerful people can get through anything no matter how bad. He's the reason Wrestlemania and RAW last night were ruined.

May have to just forget about it. It was so much better the last year without him.

All Elite Wrestling has announced a show in London on August 27th.

At Wembley Stadium.

Yeah, Stadium. Not Arena.
