Now with UAH admitted, I wonder if the WCHA will go with the rumored two division setup? Will we know shortly or perhaps not until the offseason?

commercial with most of their travel now being a bus to Minneapolis and flying where ever after the flight in Houghton switched from Delta to United. I know they tried United a few times way back when and everything got screwed up because the United people didn't understand what was a priority as far as baggage for the team. The equipment guy had it all written out that if they needed to be broken up, what should be on the first flight, etc and nothing was right when they got to colorado.

I don't see, I bet they go with the Designated rival setup. MSU-BSU, MTU-NMU, LSSU-FSU, BGSU-UAH, UAA-UA and then of the non-rivals, rotate playing 3 at home, 3 away and 2 both each season...the first season, depending on NC commitments it might be 28 games and then it would be the old WCHA schedule with 2 at home, 2 away and 4 at both. I'm guessing they'd want the 24 NC schedule to limit the number of teams going to both Alaska schools to 2 per season.

My new theory on college hockey realignment: UAH kills the CCHA for rejecting them by getting PSU to go D1 & force realignment. Result: 9 team WCHA and room for a conference. It all went according to plan. Well done Chargers! My guess is it is all the smart UAH alums who work for NASA.

A hearty congratulations to UAH and everyone who worked to make this work. I am glad that an agreement was made that made sense to all current WCHA schools.


Now, on to keeping the WCHA the best conference in college hockey!

I'll work on making an updated map sometime this weekend showing UAH as a full-fledged member.
