Exactly! I don't like this idea either, but there is nothing I can do about it. UND/Denver couldn't have done this alone.

CC is Denver's ******. of course they are going.
other than that, the Super 8 league is based on how well the teams have performed in the last 10 years. UMD and UNO just got in under the wire. Miami punched its card by being an also ran. Western? one good season?

I don't think you get it. UMD and UNO aren't gone, we are. Yeah we can keep the WCHA name but he reality is that we are the ones that are "gone".

I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right. They got together, kicked a bunch of us out, and invited a couple of new guys to take our place.

I'm not on any side. This whole thing is a big disappointment and I have always wanted for the WCHA to remain the way it was, with UW in it. I was hoping you guys would be the victims of contraction.
Has anyone checked your Title IX balance lately?
What I realized though, when Delany & co. didn't call me for my opinion was that I have absolutely no say in this. I was unhappy for a year or two (coz this was first mentioned a few years ago) and then saw the writing on the wall and realized that it was inevitable and decided to accept it and move on.
It's still kinda fun to declare blame on UND though. They're Nazis you know!

Does anyone know of a good strategy to guarantee that there can't be two trips to alaska in a season for a team, when there 2 alaska teams in an 8 team conference?

Everybody plays each other twice, once home, once away. Do the Fairbanks-Anchorage swing in one weekend. It's how the GNAC does it. Not ideal but it's really the only way.
