Cool. Have fun not having a team!

It figures that dirty the 35 year old virgin would chime in.

Since when did you care about Michigan Tech hockey? You abandoned them long ago for your alcoholic escapades. Speaking of which, shouldn't you be drinking your sorrows away at Toby Keith's or something?

Go **** yourself like every other night of the week.

A whole two minutes for the first fish to bite.

Thought you knew me better... :p

Sad thing is, MANY are blaming UND for this mess. Sorry, but the B1G MISTAKE started it all. Didn't know which side of the fence you were on.

There was no room for movement when it was an 11 team and a 12 team conference in the west plus the CHA. You need spaces and places for teams to start and then try to "move up". That didn't exist. Now it just might.

There was, if you realigned/trimmed the 3 big conferences. 12 teams in a conference is too much. You might have to basically start from scratch, only keeping main rivalries intact, then adding everyone else (preferably geographically), but there was room.

And hey, maybe you're right about this new setup. There will be room, because about 6-8 schools will fold their programs and that will provide the opportunity for a great club team to turn D1! Woohoo!

This whole thing is a f*ing joke. * you B1G MISTAKE, and * you B1G MISTAKE Supporters. The sky fell. We told you it would happen. And you didn't listen.

Brent: I think a lot of people thought that even with the B1G, the WCHA could and would survive if it stayed together...this guarantees teams will die because the BHHC decided to way overreact.

However, since MN/WI left (we know WI had a choice, since they started this whole crapfest) for "greener pastures," you don't think UND/DU (who probably became the default "authority" in the WCHA would try and do the same by culling the herd of smaller/weaker teams?

It's like the party (WCHA) got kinda dull when the cool people left, and now UND/DU decided to go to another party that had better beer and only invited their friends. I mean, who wants to hang around a dull party? And now, that dull party is going to die out.

The fact is though, it wouldn't have been a dull party.
It still would have been a good league.
They decided they had to "get a better situation" and I'm not convinced they did.

I give it five years. Max. Then UND/DU will realize that their party sucks, because the easterners only want to drink Zima.

C.C. UNO & UMD could have said no.
