The new Super League is going down the tubes.

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

The first rumors that came out 6 months ago were that BC was very interested. Jerry York was furious with the Big Ten schools and wanted BC to make the move. Where did these rumors originate? People with WCHA tie-ins, so for Bruce McLeod to claim ignorance on the breakaway is disingenuous at best.

Perhaps Jerry York changed his mind, perhaps he couldn't convince BU to become a travel partner or perhaps he got overruled bu the AD or president. Either way, BC was a player at one point.

No matter what, if the Super League becomes a rousing success, BC knows they have an open invite.

I heard the Rangers were THIS close to joining the Super Conference, if they could've just convined the Bruins to go too, they were in.

Apparently in the article they also discussed the ECAC as an option. Really? That seems like a very far fetched move and I think ND would be more willing to go independent than to go to the ECAC.

Yeah, no pizzaz at all to the name. Hell, I would almost rather at least just be a little more honest about what they're wanting to do and just call themselves the Super League. At least your making department should be able to do something with Super League.

National Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) sounds better than National Collegiate Hockey Conference. However, while underwhelming what else could you expect? Naming a new conference only has so many options.

NCHA is taken...Northern Collegiate Hockey Association with all the UW DIII schools, St Norbert and St Scholastica.
