So the Mankato Arena is a smaller version of Target Center? ;)

Having been to both, the Former MWCC is worse than the Concrete Center by a country mile. I actually like the NCC minus their lame choices of music.

Whee. There are many HS arenas in the metro area better than the Glas. :p

And when one man's horn (think: MN Vikings-style horn) out-blasts the arena's horn.....that's just sad (yes, it happened, ask Beer Pong Horn). :D

You make the Glas sound like the Mathews of the Northland, but my elementary school gym had more character :p

Yes the video quality is horrible but it prepares you for the shock and awe of actually seeing the facility in person.

Last time I visited, the player areas were off limits and not part of the tour. But I did see the Betty and the Olympic sized training rink which are not included in the video.

Bleachers? How drunk were you?

I've been in both numerous times and lets just say that there is a reason the kind people of Minnesota are giving JBSU 30 million to renovate the Concrete center.

Except they aren't. It is 6 million, genius. SCSU is responsible for the other 24 million.

I was thinking back about all of the discussion among the three future western leagues for where to play their tournaments, and I came across a pretty sad thought.

Forget the WCHA Final Five. I'm not sure any of the three will even match the CCHA average over the last decade given how spread out everyone is. Hell, it might result in better NCAA regional attendance since those are likely to be as close or closer in some cases.

If only dozens of Miami students could do the 5 hour drive to detroit, I think we should get a pretty decent draw in Minnesota.
