That episode.... oh man.

I have a hard time not having PTSD flashbacks to that episode every time one of my dogs murders a rabbit in the backyard.

I remember calling my brother and saying he needed to see it. After 5 minutes, he called and asked "Do I still have to watch?" I said yes. After 15 minutes, he called back and asked "What. The. F*?" He was sold.

I"m trying to think of the other times I've laughed harder at South Park. Paris Hilton's dog's suicide and the ending of the episode with the whale that got sent to the moon rank pretty high up there.

Ski School >>>>> Ski Patrol

Absolutely. Ski School is one of my all-time favorite dumb, trash comedies. Now Ski School 2, not so much.

The only thing Ski patrol had going for it was the wild man on the jet skis(trivia fact: played by the same guy who played the silent, drunken pal in the middle in the back seat in Wayne's World, during the Bohemian Rhapsody scene.). That, and Yvette Nipar was a hottie. I looooove big hair.

And I like Aspen Extreme a lot as well.

Inside Llewyn Davis. Portrait of a young folk/blues guitarist in Greenwich Village in 1961. Worth the watch. And listen.

I very much enjoyed this one.

Honestly, is it a top 50 movie? I have very little interest in the subject matter. Actually, I have none. BUT, if it's THAT good, I might take a gander.

It's not a sexy story line perhaps and it's quite cerebral. But there's some really good acting. I think if you liked Nebraska, Blue Jasmine or even Burn After Reading then you should try it.

We liked Aspen Extreme, but having lived there we spent the whole time picking it apart and LOurAO! :D

I think we know where this is heading

No jokes in any DC comic

I've never like the DC hero cast as much as the Marvel cast for this very reason. DC seems to do everything they can to make their superheroes unapproached and awe inspiring that they make them also completely unrelatable. The Marvel heroes have also been able to create that sense of awe, but a lot of people can identify with a portion of so many of their characters that it just makes them so much more fun (at least for me) than the DC hero list.

It's pretty well known that much of the skiing wasn't actually filmed at any Aspen resort. The best part of the movie is the mandatory ridiculous stunt skiing, much of which was filmed in BC, some at Alta, UT, and a bit in the (then closed to the public) Highland Bowl, by Scott Schmidt and the late Doug Coombs.

Otherwise, it's your typical carryover, trashy mid-to-late 80s movie released in the early 90s. Big hair, those horrid neon ski suits that everyone breaks out on closing day for silliness now, at least one male catfight, a fur-bound/moneyed brunette cougar, a blonde girl next door, etc. I've heard it compared to Top Gun on the slopes, and that's not too far from the mark, just with much more forgettable acting.
