The Michigan OT Goal

Re: The Michigan OT Goal

UMICH - Are you crazy? It's freakin' 30 degrees down here, snowed a couple days ago - clubs are still in the garage. But, you're right, we would have hit the turn by now....

Re: The Michigan OT Goal

And this is not a shot at anybody else from Michigan, again, as others have said, it seems to be an issue of this isolated poster.

Yep. All fan bases have dip****s. UMI has UMICH, we have Rink Pig, you have Short Bus, and well, you. :p

Re: The Michigan OT Goal

I have a solution. Just reenact the Final Five in St. Paul and have UNO play Michigan Wednesday night. Winner gets UND Thursday.

Re: The Michigan OT Goal

Yes, I said I was over it, but check out the goal review for the Ducks v Flames from tonight, that looked much more conclusive that it was a goal than the OT weasel goal, but it was not allowed. Not sure about differences between review rules for NHL v NCAA, if there is any. That just re-opened the wound, arghhh.....

Re: The Michigan OT Goal

I agree, although I'm sick of people rooting against Michigan all of the time because we have a positive history.

When are you going to learn? People don't root against Michigan all the time because of their positive history. They root against it because of people like you. People who come off as measuring their own worthiness (or perhaps something else) by something groups of student athletes (who don't even know you exist by the way, lucky for them) have accomplished over a long period of time. If you were anything at all like most of the UM centric posters who are here maybe you'd understand why so many of us find your kind so intolerable. We get it. Michigan is a fine institution with a great history of both academic and athletic accomplishment. Of course I'm guessing you were part of neither...

My only hatred towards Michigan is because the band only knows one friggin' song.

They do that intentionally just to ****** you off. If you went to any regular season Michigan games you'd hear a wide-vareity. Granted, they play it after goals as well as the beginning and ending of a period but I guess I can say if you're team was better and didn't let Michigan score so much you wouldn't have to hear it.

Sigh, I am an Alumnus and I knew the Hockey team when I was there for school. Try again...

They play it after goals. They play it at the start and end of periods. They play it before a faceoff. They play it when the refs skate out. They play it when the team skates out. They play it when there's a TV timeout. Hell, they play it when another Michigan resident leaves the state for good. They play it when Bob Norton is hungry. They play it when you make another idiotic post. They play it when Happy spouts off about UND's Canadian hockey players.

I'm sure once you get the point, they'll play it then, too.

This coming from somebody whose school predominantly fills the gaps between plays with piped in music and commercials.

I hate that, too. And many schools do that nowadays. Just depends on how "corporate" the arena is. Makes me sad. :(

Re: The Michigan OT Goal

It's high time the ncaa changed its ruling procedures for questionable goals to a 14-day vote by fans who knew who they wanted to win before the questionable goal occurred ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Re: The Michigan OT Goal

Don't people hate Notre Dame for the same reasons?

I'm speaking strictly in terms of fans on this forum like UMICH. Show me posts by any of the Notre Dame centric posters on USCHO that seemingly base their entire self-worth on how badazz their team is. And I'm not saying Notre Dame does not have arrogant fans. Notre Dame has plenty of arrogant fans, and the university itself can be arrogant to the Nth degree sometimes. The few of us here don't make a habit of using whatever success Notre Dame enjoys as a measuring stick for our own.

Price you pay for success. Want people to like you? Play like MTU has for three decades.

Did I ever complain about the call last year? Show me a link? Look at all of the uno posters chanting "Death to wolvie" around here. You need to look at this from both perspectives...

"Death to Wolvie" is light compared to the crap you were spouting off. And for the record, I was actually cheering for Michigan in that game, I am just pointing out that you spout off like a know-it-all without knowing much apparently.

Short Bus transferred to Metro State, didn't you hear? Or he just got bored with college hockey, either way, there was a party, punch was served, check with Poland.

MN or tUMD? :D

Re: The Michigan OT Goal

UMICH - Toughen up? Come on now...there's a reason I chose to live farther south than Michigan, it was so that by March 30 it wouldn't be snowing! Make me a wuss? Probably.

tUMD fills the gaps by shouting homophobic slurs at the opposing team. Classless, but at least they're trying.
