If he had the Mankato rink shrunk, then I definitely believe it was a part of the conversation. What that timeline looks like...Id say 2-4 yrs.

I think bc Hastings understands the WI history, guarentee him and Granato talk. Badger hpckey should have a unique footprint at UW and not be part of the Borg.

Hi, I’m Fettvssolo, solovsfett’s alter-ego who is nice and positive in all situations. I’m from the alternate universe where Seinfeld and his crew are nice people too, and the non-evil Cartman sings songs, etc.!!!

yeah, I’m excited about the hire and Optimistic about the future of the team. It feels like a breath of fresh air.

Mixing in a few 23 year old freshamn that can actually play might be a better strategy than taking 30 verbal commitments from 15 year olds in the hopes a few of them can actually play at the Big 10 level in 4 or 5 years.

Yep. At least that insanity is over. And telling a goalie he's gonna be the 3rd string so he leaves and gets his new team into the ncaas.
 
How we forget that 2006 featured a seemingly 27 year old Ryan MacMurchy and Ross Carlson.

(they were 24 actually, IIRC, but seemed a lot older for some reason)

With Knott declining the job in Mankato wouldn't it seem likely that some of those players want to head to Madison too? Probably a good way to get your program started in a new place.

Assuming Knott is headed to Madison, I would be shocked not to see multiple Mankato recruits/transfers also land in Madison. Taking on a 13 win roster is much easier with better players and a few that know your systems, how you run practice, etc. make it even easier.
 
Solo is trying really hard not to go off but c’mon! They can’t get the mics to work when during Fickell’s introduction everything was perfect?

I’m here. Andy Brandt sitting with the other hockey staff. I’m guessing he is staying on. Press conference with reporters is next.
